What the player is trying to do is the same while trying to beat them to get more money. Some of the HOG type of games they have include finding the specific items, finding a specific number of a set of items, and other types I've forgotten/haven't tried.I didn't play a whole lot of this game to give an accurate review, but I don't recommend it. For HOG fans, I recommend the story driven HOG games, I feel that those are a little more fun than this.. The difference between this game other Hidden Object games is that in this game you'll be playing in a some sort of game show. It's fun at first but bores pretty quickly in my opinion. The only reason I spend 4 hours with Discovery! is because i've owned this for quite a long time. I wouldn't recommend it.. it is a really good game dont get me wrong, the idea of it and the way the game is played but itsa hell of a good job you dont get timed as the graphics arent that great and at times it is quite hard to see the object you have to find. Didn't play this one for all that long as it broke one of the cardinal rules of hidden object games and mislabelled a post box as a phone booth and I then realised the steam overlay wasn't working. Pretty much killed my desire to continue...If you fancy hidden object based fun (with a handful of very short minigames) in a fast paced and competitive environment then this is probably a reasonable game to go for. On the downside though whilst the executaion is nice, it is showing its age - the pictures suffer from being very low res and not being able to find something because it's a blur (or because it's mislabelled) is less fun than repeatedly headbutting your keyboard. When you add in no steam overlay and no achievements... it makes it a kinda meh choice. There are better games around if you want to find stuff.. I've played this one a lot, to engage the top level of my brain while I'm trying to figure out something else with the other parts of my brain. It's fun, a little mindless, but not in a bad way.
