If you've played the first set of Umineko this will not disappoint. The localization is also spot-on.. The Answer Arcs of Umineko are not necessarily weaker, but they are different to the Question Arcs. That said, I found the 5th and 6th episodes better than the latter two. While the Question Arcs focus more on the murder mystery of the games, the Answer Arcs focus on all the things happening in the background. Those who like detective stories will probably find the Question Arcs more to their tastes, mainly because during the 6th episode at the latest if not before that, it becomes clear that from the very beginning this wasn't a mystery or a fantasy but most certainly a love story between Beatrice and Battler. Also, the focus changes from Battler more to his sister Ange -- a rather less sympathetic character than Battler is; though her attitude is believable and explainable due to her circumstances -- and Will and Lion in the 7th episode, which is more there for background knowledge than anything else and I believe is the weakest of the episodes. Still, the 8th episode is a rollercoaster of emotions with an ending very fitting for this series, even though some might disagree strongly there. YMMV vastly. The only choice in the whole game at the end of episode 8 is the culmination of the whole 8th episode. If you understood what Battler has told you during that and believe him, then the choice is no choice at all. It is evident how it should all end. But Umineko never really outright told the readers about its true nature without offering an alternative. It depends on the reader which version they choose for themselves. I believe the happier one is to call Umineko a fantasy love VN with mystery aspects.Everything I said in my review for the Question Arcs regarding music and graphics are equally applicable here. Do I recommend the Answer Arcs? Not as strongly as the Question Arcs, but if you read those, then I expect that you won't want to leave the rest of the story untold..
